Brookfield Four Corners & Station Road Area Water Supply Study — Brookfield, Connecticut

LEI was selected by the Town of Brookfield Board of Selectmen to conduct a potable water supply study for the Four Corners and Station Road areas of town. These areas have private wells which have been contaminated by hydrocarbons and solvents.

LEI completed an extensive evaluation of potable water sources including utilizing the existing town hall property, development of a new community system at three different locations in town, interconnection with two adjacent water utilities, and continued point-of-use GAC carbon filtration for each well.

LEI also evaluated alternate means of providing fire protection to the service area including construction of stand pipes at various locations and ground level storage tanks with fire pump facilities.

LEI helped obtain approval for state funding through the State UST Petroleum Cleanup Account as well as DEEP clean water funding.
